In 2013, QVP co-invested with 500 Startups and Floodgate Fund in PicCollage, a Taiwanese startup that achieved significant success in Western markets. In recent years, QVP has increasingly turned its attention to Hong Kong and Taiwan—judging competitions, engaging with local startups, and in mid-2014 recruiting Taiwan’s startup mentor Chen Tai-Ku as a strategic partner to help bridge communication and seek like-minded funds, bringing new capital into the relatively capital-constrained Taiwan and Hong Kong startup ecosystems.
